About the Artist

Linda Garden

 Linda is a former writer and business owner who grew up in Wadsworth, Ohio. As a young student she incorporated drawing into any assignment she could. Her biology teacher used her drawings for years to teach the skeleton.  Her latest award was in the "Works on Paper" category at the Piedmont Regional Art Show in The Plains. She paints mostly in pastel and oil and continues to study with artists she admires. Her most recent solo exhibit is at The Prizery in South Boston, Virginia, from November 5 through December 14, 2017.

I have an eclectic approach to style and medium. Representational art appeals to me. However, I enjoy experimenting with color and composition. I am a perennial student. Studying art history makes me want to create. The intimacy of portrait and figurative painting inspires me.

Linda has taken workshops with the following artists:

* William Schneider

* Wendy Caporale

* Sherrie McGraw

* Elizabeth Robbins

* Gregory Packard

* Tina Garrett

* David Cheifetz
